We’re lovers of soft romantic colour palettes, as well as bright and standout modern designs!

We aim to create custom pieces for each wedding and event that we service, as well as working with our clients closely to ensure that we’re helping to bring their vision to life.

By choosing MJWED for your wedding or event, you’ll be working with a team of professionals with backgrounds in wedding and event floristry, design, planning, coordination, and hire.

Our knowledge and skill set in the wedding and event industry are invaluable to our clients as we know what it takes to make an event truly spectacular with our emphasis on design, planning, and overall execution.

Will you be my florist or is this outsourced to another supplier?

Melanie Jane Weddings and Events will be your floral design team if you book your floral styling with us!

All floral concepts, designs and quotes are created and owned by our in-house team of professional florists and stylists, with us you aren’t just booking a florist, you are working with and speaking with a team of designers who create and design weddings and events for 2-400+ people.

You can have peace of mind knowing that our team even if just booked for the floral component of your day, will still work with you, and execute your vision to the highest standard as one of our planning clients would experience.

Professionalism and customer satisfaction is VERY important to us.

The only time we consider outsourcing your florals would be if we are booked for planning or styling, and our floral service is unavailable for your date, or you require faux florals instead of fresh. In this circumstance your floral quote would come from a third-party florist with their business information, and all payments, as well as communication about your floral styling would run directly through them. We have great relationships with florists far and wide that we recommend and work with.

Are some flowers only available during some months of the year?
Yes, we’re at the mercy of Mother Nature, and weather conditions have a significant impact on availability of flowers. We will always work to a ‘best case’ scenario, and like all events have our back-up plan that is just as splendid and beautiful as the original!
Do you offer wedding packages that include styling and hire and floral design?

Yes, we do!

If you’re interested in a package that includes both styling and florals, please reach out to our team with your wedding date, location, number of guests and table layout, and we can provide further package info.

Please note these packages cater to a floral and styling spend of approx. $4,500-$7,500 and are best suited to couples who aren’t needing custom design work.

Do you offer hire items or do I need to supply my own vases?

We do offer a range of hire items – vases/votives, ceremony arbours, plinths, urns and various styles of candleholders as well as easels, signage, wishing wells, table numbers, napkins, table linen, cutlery, glassware, crockery, wishing wells, furniture/decor, backdrops and neons.

How much do wedding flowers usually cost?

There’s a lot of variability when it comes to wedding flower prices, and the type of designs you choose for your wedding/event.

We recommend working out a budget you feel comfortable with and saving a range of inspo photos in the colour palettes and designs you like and providing this information to us, our team will then work with you to form a realistic budget vs expectation of what can be achieved and go from there.

As an idea, most of our couples spend between $7,500-$10,000 on their wedding flowers with us.

We suggest allocating 10-15% of your total wedding budget for floral styling, however, if you want florals to be a significant component of the experience for the day, we’d recommend allocating closer to 25-30% of your total budget to flowers.

Do I need a theme or vision for my day?

Absolutely not, our floral designers will work with you to create the floral colour palette and designs of your dreams!

If you’re truly stumped, and need a stylist’s touch, we recommend booking our Styling and Concept Design package first, which assists with all of your styling needs, as well as a site visit to your venue to discuss the design and layout of your wedding, as well as looks at all floral possibilities!

If you happen to book us for both our Styling and Concept Design package, as well as our in-house floral styling, you’ll receive a 10% discount on your floral styling (excluding labour and travel fees).

Where do you service?
Our team is located across QLD & NSW.

We coordinate flowers for couples getting married across Brisbane, Toowoomba, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, Byron Bay, Sydney Central, and the Hunter Valley region.

Minimum spends may vary depending on your chosen location.

Is there a minimum budget or spend?
We have a minimum spend starting from $3,500 for floral styling, this amount does not include travel or labour fees associated with floral costs.
Will you deliver my flowers on the day?
Absolutely, our team will contact yourself and your venue to coordinate the bump-in and bump-out of your florals for your wedding.
Can I repurpose my flowers from Ceremony to Reception?

Yes, you can!

We recommend letting us know if this is a priority for you, as we’ll need to know timings for your ceremony and cocktail hour, as well as reception start time to provide you with designs that are suitable for repurposing.

I live interstate / overseas, will communication be a problem?

Absolutely not! We work with a lot of interstate and overseas couples who choose to have their wedding here in Australia.

We’ve worked with couples from Melbourne, America and France.

You’ll also get access to your very own online client portal where we keep all of your floral planning info.

I'm getting married in a location outside of your service areas, can we still book you for our wedding?
Absolutely! We work with a lot of interstate and overseas couples, feel free to submit your enquiry and tell us ALL the juicy details.

Please note however, that for weddings outside of our service areas we have a minimum floral spend of $10k+.

Flights, accommodation, travel expenses and staff meals will also need to be covered.
